If a menu item was not given an icon it should not display the generic icon

This is not a bug. As mentioned when adding a link, a default may be used if one is not chosen

IMHO it is a bug, or feature incomplete / deficient

You may pick a custom icon for this menu item. If none is selected, a context relevant default icon may be used.

It would be best to DISPLAY and show all default Font Awesome in the ACP and on each menu where the admin can see and decide if that icon is what they wish to use.

We must also be able to remove any default icon for particular Sub-Menu / App / Link
