You can follow a forum to get email notifications of new threads. My users would like to follow the calendar to get email notifications of new events. I know you can subscribe to a calendar, but this is different.

When Google Maps integration is enabled, Events: Overview displays a Happening Near You block at the top of the page. All our events are in a small area, so this is useless and occupies the prime space on the page. It should be possible to disable the block.
