Alpha 16 released, Beta next week

I was just about to link to that topic too. π- Alpha 16 released, Beta next week
Maybe it has been released, but there has been no announcement about it. π₯·- Alpha 15 right here, right now.
I couldnβt agree more, @David.. Plugins and apps do have a place (obviously, otherwise there wouldnβt be a market for them), it is generally based on the community. There is no right or wrong answer, but whether there is a need or want to warrant having them. I just find it too difficult to stay up to date with every release of the software and opening myself up to potential issues when attempting to upgrade. Keep it clean, keep it simple. π- Alpha 15 right here, right now.
Sorry @Kirill, but Iβll agree to disagree. Iβm part of many communities/forums that have no plugins or apps whatsoever. They are extremely successful, and have been for many years. I think it all comes down to what your community is for. Iβll let you know once my community is officially released to see how it goes in the next couple of years plugin-free. For the record, Iβm not against plugins and apps. I can see how useful they are for community managers, I just donβt have a need or use for them for my own communities.- Why test?

I did just read this topic though. Keep an eye out for someone from the team to confirm. Will PHP 8.3 be supported for v5 beta? - Feedback - Invision Community 5 (invisionalpha5.com)- Alpha 16 released, Beta next week
So good! Well done to the whole team as usual; you have all made history for Invision Community! π₯³ Iβll be upgrading on my live site as it is still a fresh community and there isnβt a lot of data by way of topics, posts, attachments, members, etc. It should be a smooth upgrade and can only help iron out any issues during the v4 β v5 upgrade process. I always run a vanilla installation without plugins or full on customisation too which mitigates the majority of issues that can come up.- Alpha 15 right here, right now.
Iβm not sure on the particulars, but it has been stated on Invision Community that it will be newer versions of PHP. π- Alpha 15 right here, right now.

Thereβs nothing wrong with that at all. You simply must choose what best suits you and your community. What is your community based around? PHP 8.1 is currently supported. Iβm using PHP 8.2.23 on my community and apart from the notification recommending I downgrade in the AdminCP, I have experienced zero issues. I donβt heavily modify and do not use plugins or apps (personal preference and streamlines the experience especially when upgrading). Version 5 will work with more recent versions of PHP too. What other questions do you have and Iβm sure the community can answer them. I donβt want you to question your decision by using XenForo; Iβve used them before as well in the early days. I just want to squash any myths that you may have read or heard about Invision Community.- Alpha 15 right here, right now.
Haha, you donβt have to believe me. The product speaks for itself! The team have been hard at work making sure itβs as good as it can be.- Alpha 15 right here, right now.
The wait is definitely gonna be worth it! π₯³- Test youtube

- And here's Alpha 14
In all the years Iβve used forum software, I can pretty much count on one hand how many plugins Iβve ever installed or actually used. It all comes down to what sort of community you want to create as some may need more than just the software out-of-the-box. The Marketplace may be deprecated, but there are still communities out there acting as a library for Invision Community plugins.- And here's Alpha 14
Invision Community 5 is not available for public release yet, but you can test the frontend right here on this community. There is a Test Area where members are giving posting a go, you can try it yourself too. Once a release is available the Team will let us all know. - Tables in editor
