August 27Aug 27 comment_448 What makes it more efficient?Ultimately we did this in v3 and it wasn’t ideal because you cannot optimise for one engine. We use some very intensive queries that we have optimised especially for MySQL. To have a generic database adaptor would mean we couldn’t do that and performance would greatly suffer.
