On larger displays, reading long lines of content would give a bad UX. For instance, on a 22”, 27” or 32” monitor, the lines of content would be too loooooong…

Please offer optional newspaper columns for easy reading with a spinner/dropdown or pill buttons in the UI to choose number of columns to split the content (traditional newspapers used newspaper columns for decades knowing the UX factor).

Desktop only columns: 1 2 3 4 5 pill buttons (default: 3)

Tablet only columns: 1 2 3 pill buttons (default: 2)

Mobile Phones: No columns choice

Remember user’s choice across page loads.

CSS:

column-width: ...; column-count: 3; column-gap: 20px; column-rule-width: 1px; column-rule-color: #444; column-rule-style: dotted;

Thanks for the suggestion however there are currently no plans to include this. You are welcome to add that CSS to your own community if you’d like to implement it :)
