I suggest updating the following system preferences.

If I want to follow Ehren, for example, I would like to be able setting the preferences to be notified only for new Ehren open topics and not to be obligated as today to be notified for every Ehren new reply.

That creates a massive number of notifications, which are making users not use the system, as it does not fulfill their needs.

You must keep user notification system to be flexible in a large forum scale like mine (a few hundred used per day).

There are forum content types where replies are significantly less important than the topic's first message - notification wise.

The following system doesn't support this kind of content behavior.
